Some of you have known me long enough that you would have seen last year’s almost daily SOTD posts on Facebook and Twitter. I received a lot of encouragement to turn my morning kitchen experiments into a recipe book and guess what? I did it!
That’s right, you can order your copy of my Smoothie of the Day e-book by filling the form below. It’s only $10, a super-awesome value.
So why do I want you to have this recipe book? Making smoothies is probably the single most powerful thing I’ve done for my health over the last year and a half. I want the same for you! Smoothies are fast, easy, and even kids will enjoy them as a tasty breakfast (or lunch) item.
Not only will you get my 50 favourite smoothie recipes, but you’ll also get advice on “smoothie enhancer ingredients” like protein powders and super foods. But wait, there’s more! I’ll give you my smoothie-building matrix so that you can experiment in the kitchen and come up with your own delicious, nutritious concoctions.
The e-book will be delivered in .pdf format to the email address you provide so that you can read it right on your computer or even print a copy. No e-reader required! Order your copy today. (Scroll down to place your order).
Peachy Green Smoothie
1 cup frozen peaches
2 leaves kale
½ cup baby carrots or 1 large carrot
1 tsp maca
1 cup plain (unsweetened) soy milk
If you don’t have any maca, just leave it out. You could add some hemp protein, and the brand I recommend is Manitoba Harvest. If you’re soy intolerant, you could use hemp milk, almond milk, oat milk or brown rice milk.
1) Wash your produce. Chop fruits and vegetables (if you have a Vitamix, you probably won’t need to do much chopping).
2) Place all ingredients in blender. Blend.
3) Pour into your favourite glass or to-go container and enjoy!
Thanks again for your smoothie book. I’m really enjoying the recipes, and green smoothies have become a standard feature of my mornings.
All the best, Steve M. (Ottawa, Ontario)
I have to tell you, I’ve been obsessed with green smoothies for years – I’m always coming up with new combinations that I’m so excited about.
I was intrigued by today’s recipe – I’ve never put carrots in anything but a savory green smoothie, however I know carrot juice is good with other fruit so I thought I’d give it a try.
Oh my gosh, Natalie, it’s fantastic – it may be one of my new favorites!!
Warm regards, Kat Conrad
