Hey Natalie,
Great advice....with today's portion sizes I think most people consume a lot more calories than they are aware of.

Hi Lianda, I'm not recommending "dieting" per se, I'm recommending the elimination of snacks and making sure one does not ingest more calories than one needs. A person's metabolism is NOT going to slow down if they are eating an optimal amount of calories and getting a decent amount of exercise.

What is NOT logical is assuming that a person who is having a difficult time losing weight shouldn't evaluate the amount of food they are eating. Eating too many calories simply does not work.

For many people, losing weight has become next to impossible. And for the vast majority of people, regaining the weight they have worked so hard to lose is inevitable. Weight loss is a complex field, but the one thing we DO KNOW is that dieting slows down your metabolism as a natural healthy response to prevent starvation.
It is much more complex than cutting down on your food intake. Most people know there are people who don't have weight challenges who can eat as much (and even eat food that isn't all that healthy!) as they want and not gain weight.

So why do you assume that eating less is going to help someone who can't lose weight. It's NOT logical, and it simply doesn't work.
